Self Reflection Series- Meditation!

Being present in each moment allows me to have days that are fulfilling. Conscious involvement in each thing that I do encourages positive decision making. When I meditate, it helps me to set my intentions for the day ahead.

Each morning gives me a chance to define my purpose in life. The quiet time when I wake up helps me to formulate a plan for making the most of my time.

Meditation allows me to connect to my inner beliefs. Having that connection reminds me to focus on what I truly value. I live according to what I believe is wholesome and just.

When I look within, I consider the impact that my actions have on my circle of influence. My focus is on being a positive influence for those people.

As I meditate, I realign myself with that focus and commit to living positively for the day.

Quiet time at the end of each day also helps me to re-center myself. Reflection allows me to identify shortcomings and develop a plan of action to overcome them.

Today, I acknowledge that there is significant value in meditation. Being able to focus on my inner being is helpful in allowing me to experience rewarding days.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1.    What activities can I engage in to enhance the value of meditation?
2.    How do I realign with my belief system after an emotionally challenging day?

Life Coaching - Can you explain! What is your Specialty Niche?

So today while i was explaining one of my Yoga Client that i am WIP as a Life Coach , i was bounced back with volleys of questions!!!

What is Life Coaching, How does it work, Do you work with Corporates, Individuals, How does one benefit out of working with a Coach etc etc

And thus i thought let me write down about Life Coaching.

My Specialty Niche is Health & Wellness, Transitions, Parenting, Personal Empowerment!

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a practical, forward looking way to gain clarity on what the client believes to be true for his or her life.

Life Coaching helps the client look at where they are now as opposed to where they would like to be and helps to bridge the gap.

Coaching is about getting the very best out of someone enabling them to make decisions that will improve their life.

What Coaching is not ?

Coaching is not a Therapy or Counseling. Coaching is not giving solutions; it is a process of developing a plan of action and reaching the goals within the defined timeframe.

How Coaching Sessions Operate?

Life coaching can be done on phone or face to face also. A coaching session is scheduled weekly for 60 minutes.
Coaching is time bound from 3 months to 6 months.

Client and Coach Relationship

Is based on trust, integrity.

A sense of openness is there between coach and client.

It is based on commitments and confidentiality.

Is the Client Ready for Coaching?

Client goes through an Interview and Assessment in the initial stage to understand if the client is ready to bring about the change.

The client is responsible for the results they are generating.

The client is accountable for the action items and commitments made for the progress.

Coaching Agreement:

An Agreement is signed between coach and client on all the terms acceptable between them to have the clarity before initiating the coaching sessions.

Benefits of Working with a Coach:

Coaching has been proven to work when the client is willing to grow and when there is an obvious gap between where the client is and where he or she wants to be. With a coach the client will:

1.    Make broader actions
Once you understand and create your ideal goal, you are much more likely to take actions to reach it.

2.    Have a balanced life
I will work with you to help assist you in a plan that will get your needs met by establishing a personal foundation.

3.    Make financial freedom
Money. We have to have it. Chances are you know that you can make more money. I will work with you to assist you in ways to look at advancing your income, pay off old bills, set up a financial plan, and help design a strategy for you to earn more from your professional efforts in the future.

4.    Reach for more and more
When anyone has a partner they trust, they will always reach for more because they can afford to.

5.    Make better decisions for yourself and your business
Every single client of mine is smart. Yet, they still use me. Why, because everyone can use a sounding board, share ideas with someone who understands them and is subjective enough to want a lot for them. Just in talking about your options with someone who can listen and often provide valuable feedback helps issues to become crystal clear. You will always get honest, constructive views.

6.    Have a lot more sustainable energy
When you are happy, productive and free from tolerations and problems, you are always going to feel better!

Specialty Niche:

Certified coach has a specialty niche. It could be Health & Fitness, Spirituality, Relationships, Parenting, Personal Empowerment, Stress Management, Transition Coaching, Business, Entrepreneurs.

Choosing a market niche is about deciding who you wish to serve as a clientele.

Parents Guide to Patience!

Children can be annoying. They’re loud. They complain. They know how to push your buttons and lead to frustration.
They’re also a great source of joy.

You can embrace the joy and show your unconditional love with patience. After all, they depend on you to teach them how to best get along in this world. Why not exemplify patience and give them a gift they’ll never outgrow?

Be a more patient parent with these strategies:

Understand your trigger points.
When are you most likely to be unreasonably impatient? Is it at bedtime? After a hard day at work?
·                  Make a list of your trigger points and keep it handy.

·                 Is there anything you can do to change the situation? Maybe you could listen to relaxing music on      the ride home after a long day.

Where does the challenge lie?
You’ve seen wonderful children with impatient parents and misbehaving children with incredibly patient parents. Neither situation is ideal. How well do your children behave? It’s not easy to assess our own kids accurately.
·

Visualize yourself being patient in challenging situatio.

Use your list of situations that try your patience the most and imagine yourself dealing with those situations calmly and effectively. When you’re faced with the real situation, you’ll have a better chance of dealing with it appropriately.

Be patient with yourself.
Everyone is impatient at times. We aren’t static. This is good news, because it means we can change. Accept that you’re only human and that you’ll have the occasional bad day.

Give yourself a timeout.
If you’re unable to find a peaceful mental place, take 15 minutes. When you’re upset, you lose the ability to make intelligent decisions. If no one is bleeding or on fire, they’ll survive for 15 minutes while you collect yourself.

Consider the perspective of your child.

Children have little power or control over their lives. You’re holding all the cards. When you act in a way that’s frightening or unreasonable, your child can’t trust you. What could be more frightening? You could be causing more damage than you realize.

·
On the other hand, children are also quite resilient and forgiving. You don’t have to be perfect, but it’s important to be reasonable. Your children deserve it.

If you’re impatient with your children, you’re not alone. Children can be a challenge to your ability to remain calm, cool, and collected. However, you can change. You can become a more patient parent. Enhance your ability to deal with frustration and prevent frustration from occurring with these tips you can use every day.

Reflection Series - Meaningful Conversations !

The voices of friends, family and even strangers are like music to my ears. When I make time for meaningful conversation with others, I feel enlightened and refreshed.

There is so much to learn just by listening to others around me. Their insight reminds me that there is more to life than superficiality.

It gives me pleasure to speak with others about solutions to challenges. I get excited when I see the potential in ideas that I discuss with others.

When I listen to the wisdom of those younger than me, I am hopeful for the future. I happily realize that the next generation is equipped with the tools for success.

My openness to the preferences of those around me builds my tolerance. It is easy for me to appreciate differences because I have open myself to learning about them.

I am also respectful when someone has an opinion that is different from mine. Different perspectives are what make this world so versatile.

Today, my ears and heart are open to hearing what others have to say.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1.    How successful am I with sharing an unpopular perspective?
2.    What are some of my unique traits that I am fearful of telling others about?

3.    How often am I able to teach new things to friends and colleagues?
