The voices of friends, family and even strangers are like music to my ears. When
I make time for meaningful conversation with others, I feel enlightened and
refreshed.
There is so much to learn just by listening to others around me. Their insight
reminds me that there is more to life than superficiality.
It gives me pleasure to speak with others about solutions to challenges. I get excited when I see the potential in ideas that I discuss with others.
When
I listen to the wisdom of those younger than me, I am hopeful for the future. I happily realize
that the next generation is equipped with the tools for success.
My openness to the preferences of those around me builds my
tolerance. It is easy for me to appreciate differences because I have open myself to
learning about them.
I am also respectful when someone has an opinion
that is different from mine. Different perspectives are what make this world so
versatile.
Today, my ears and heart are open to hearing what others have to
say.
Self-Reflection
Questions:
1.
How successful am I with sharing an unpopular perspective?
2.
What are some of my unique traits that I am fearful of telling
others about?
3.
How often am I able to teach new things to friends and colleagues?
